Description:
Raised on 26 August 1939 in Munich, within Wehrkreis VII. The unit was stationed in the Max II Barracks and subordinated to the 157th Division. On 1 October 1942 the detachment was split into Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Abteilung 7 (Motor Vehicle Replacement Battalion No. 7) and Kraftfahr-Ausbildungs-Abteilung 7 (Motor Vehicle Training Battalion No. 7). From 1 October 1942 both units were placed under the command of the 467th Division. On 9 April 1943 the two battalions were re-combined in Munich as a single Motor Vehicle Replacement and Training Battalion.
