A beautiful three-part, so-called Schinkelform Iron Cross in excellent condition.
With completely intact painting, on original ribbon.
Made by Paul Meybauer, Berlin.
The production period falls in the early period (1939-1940). Its special feature is its narrower arms than the "standard" Iron Crosses. We call these types Schinkel form. In all cases, they are pieces without a manufacturer's mark.
At that time, the iron core, which was already in the form of World War II, was still produced for the World War I frame form. Carl Friedrich Schnikel is the designer of the basic form of the Iron Cross of 1813.
Rare piece!
