During the German campaign shields, the Narvik shield was launched in 1940. This decoration could be awarded to those members of the Heer, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine who participated in the capture of the Norwegian port of Narvik. The award number is somewhere between 8500-9000 pieces.
