A nice, early badge from the first half of the 1930s.
A small damage to the enamel is visible at four o'clock.
On the back is the inscription "Ges.Gesch" (=Gesetzlich Geschützt = protected by law)
The DJ (Deutsches Jungvolk) was a youth organization similar to the Hitler Youth, but for boys aged 10-14. Membership became completely mandatory for boys in 1939.
