Early Production Belt Buckle in Alpacca (Nickel, Copper & Zinc Alloy) – Good Used Condition
The buckle features a soldered catch on the reverse side.
What makes this buckle particularly special are the dual maker marks from two renowned manufacturers:
"A A&S" – Assmann & Söhne
"O & S" – Overhoff & Cie
Although these were separate companies, they maintained technological, supplier, and/or subcontractor relationships, resulting in double-marked buckles. Several variants exist from this cooperation, including examples where one maker’s mark was removed and replaced by the other.
