The reverse features neatly soldered, non-magnetic hardware.
The pin is slightly inward bent for a better fit on the uniform.
Marked with the “43” PKZ code at the top, indicating manufacture by Julius Bauer & Söhne.

The original award box is in excellent condition with a functioning lock and hinge, featuring the silhouette of the War Merit Cross 1st Class on the lid.
