M33 Sturmabteilung / SA dagger
Early production example (1933–1935).
Nickel fittings, brown grip, and an unmarked early hanger.
The wooden grip is intact, with no breaks or cracks.
Both the SA roundel and the eagle insignia are original, undamaged components.
As characteristic of early pieces, the lower crossguard bears the “SW” SA Gruppe marking (Südwest).
On the blade beneath it is the arrow trademark of Friedrich Dick, Esslingen, registered in 1889.
The motto is deep acid-etched, the blade shows no damage and has not been sharpened.
The scabbard is of the early anodized type rather than the later painted style.
No dents or cracks; all four screws are present.
Early unmarked hanger with soft leather.
During the 1930s this manufacturer produced SA daggers (with He, Sw, Wm Gruppe markings) as well as K98 bayonets.
F. Dick never obtained an RZM licence, therefore the firm did not manufacture in the later period.
The factory suffered heavy damage during Allied air raids in April 1945, but production resumed after the war and the company remains active to this day.
A beautiful, early, high-quality example.
